On September 13th, the Olympic Committee awarded Paris the 2024 Olympic Games. The last time the city had hosted the games was in 1924. Paris was then living its "Crazy Years" and decided to organize an outstanding competition that would strengthen the position of the games on the international stage. More than 1000 journalists covered the event, for the first time broadcasted on the airwaves: the star-athlete age was starting. Some of the infrastructures built in 1924 will be reused in 2024.
