Consulate General of India Sydney organized a Roundtable discussion on Indian traditional handlooms, embroidery and weaving with selected experts and other stakeholders in these fields from India and Sydney on 10 April 2018. The purpose of the discussion was to explore the scope for collaborations and synergies between artisans/producers in India and designers/consumers in Australia. The Roundtable provided a good opportunity to understand the level of interest in our handloom textile sector among Australian designers, fashion writers, consumers and retailers.
