Service Planning for 2017-2018 School Year

Planning for the upcoming school year has started! We are looking for ideas on how to serve our community and would like to find one service activity per month. It can be as simple as organizing a group to volunteer at a local organization or as large as planning your own event from start to finish!

List your ideas for each month on the 2017/2018 Service Planning document. We will discuss all ideas at our Aug. 2 meeting. If you need ideas, check out this list of local service organizations
Volunteer at the Sugar Grove Food Pantry

We have partnered with the Sugar Grove Food Pantry to volunteer once per month with food distribution.

We are looking for one or two volunteers to sign up to for the 4th Thursday of each month from 5-7 pm.

For questions regarding volunteering at the Sugar Grove Food Pantry, please contact Julie Peck at (630) 466-7900 ext. 2969

Yearly Membership Fee Due Oct. 4

For existing members, dues will be decreased from the charter year because there is no entrance fee. Some members overpaid last year because Lions International prorates the membership cost based on when you join. Invoices will be available at our Aug. 2 meeting showing the amount you owe, which will be reduced by the credited amount. Members who don't attend this meeting will receive their invoice via inner office or postal mail.

For the 2017-2018 year, payment is due Oct. 4. Members who do not pay by Oct. 4 will have their membership revoked. Payment can be made via check payable to Waubonsee Community College Lions Club, through our PayPal account, (processing fee will be applied), or cash. Please send all payments to Jan Stedman.

Because Lions International runs a July 1 - June 30 fiscal year, in 2018 we will collect this fee in May.

For questions regarding the membership fee or invoices, please contact Jan Stedman at (630) 466-7900 ext. 2564 or
