Welcome to the Covenant on Demographic Change's newsletter!
Things are moving on for the Covenant and we are busy at the moment organising the first General Assembly that will take place on 19 May in Brussels back to back with the Conference of the EU funded project Urban Health Centre 2.0.
Meanwhile, two of the members are exploring the possibilities of developing an AFE Academy to support and increase the capacity of regional, local and community stakeholders to design, implement and monitor age-friendly environments, and a survey has been available to better understand the potential needs of the Covenant’s members.
Last but not least, the SEED project – Silver Economy Awards is working hard at the moment to set up the whole award scheme and the launch of the first call is planned early June 2017. The first meeting of the Advisory Board took place and allowed the project partners to discuss the first plans and fine tune them. A new and more complete website will also be launched very soon in connection with the Covenant website. If you are interested to be actively involved, do not hesitate to contact us or register your interest on the website.
