Dear Friends,
From our home base at the University of Arizona, the Hanson Film Institute has emerged to become a leading supporter of film and filmmakers both on campus and in the wider community.
For 12 years we’ve been devoted to producing film festivals, panels, conferences, pitch fests, and screenings and events with filmmakers. We’ve brought film professionals into classrooms, supported local film organizations, provided funding to students to undertake industry internships, mentored students, supported faculty film productions and research, and produced and exhibited exceptional films.
One of our signature programs, Tucson Cine Mexico, is the first and longest-running film festival in the US to showcase contemporary Mexican cinema (brand new website coming soon!)
We’re proud to have become a cultural hub in southern Arizona, and we need your support!
