Tucson Cine Mexico, the longest running festival of Mexican film in the US, welcomes to town a traveling showcase from LA-based fest Hola Mexico Film Festival. The national tour, presenting 10 recent Mexican films, takes place in Tucson from October 14 – 20. The films will screen at Tucson Cine Mexico’s home base, Harkins Tucson Spectrum 18. The tour provides an opportunity for Tucson audiences to see a recent crop of Mexican films, ahead of the 2017 edition of Tucson Cine Mexico in March.
The film package includes works by directors Diego Luna, Michel Franco, Isaac Ezban, and Manolo Caro among others, and actors including Ana De La Reguera, Cecilia Suarez, Cassandra Ciangherotti, Ana Claudia Talancon, Tenoch Huerta and the star of this year’s Tucson Cine Mexico audience favorite The Thin Yellow Line, Damián Alcazar.
