The last 12 months have marked a year of change for JCU's staff. Many new faces have joined the ranks of our colleagues, and many of us have new and different responsibilities. To honor our colleagues' presence and hard work in this time of change, we are hosting a few gatherings this spring to give our colleagues an opportunity to celebrate each other in a safe, supportive environment of mutual listening.
Staff Council invites you to attend one of three scheduled Listening Sessions to share the successes, joys, challenges, and concerns you're encountering in your current staff role at JCU.
These sessions will also help Staff Council assess the effectiveness of our efforts this year to celebrate the contributions of our staff colleagues, and will help direct our strategic priorities for the 2018-19 academic year.
Please consider joining us for one of the following:
Tuesday, April 10th from 12pm-1pm - non-supervisory staff members
*light lunch provided - please RSVP by 12:00 noon on Monday, April 9. Thursday, April 26th from 12pm-1pm - supervisory staff members
*light lunch provided Wednesday, May 16th from 2pm-3pm - non-supervisory staff members
"Recognition and respect of all members of the John Carroll University community are necessary and appropriate for the University to live up to its mission, vision, and core values. As one of the largest constituencies on the University campus (second only to students), the staff represents a highly diverse group of professionals whose contributions are critical to the quality, integrity, credibility and continued growth of the University. An informed, active, and engaged community, with the ability to participate and share its opinions and interests concerning the conduct of institutional affairs and life in the workplace, is critical to the mission of the University." -- Staff Council Constitution
