I have found myself recently sitting in the story of the Samaritan woman and reflecting on her actions in response to Jesus.

Here is someone who was going about her daily work yet, at the same time, was not afraid to see the bigger picture at play in front of her.

As this woman listens to Jesus she comes to see the gift of knowledge that he is offering.

As the questions come firing back at Jesus he responds with grace.

And through this space of growth in knowledge, the questions settle in her, and Jesus as the living water is laid bare.

This story reflects the deep realities we often face as we go about our day-to-day work. This work is often ordinary, physically sustaining work, yet Jesus is present in our coming and going.

And like the Samaritan woman at the well, if we are willing to stop, listen, and talk with Jesus - both asking and questioning through his Word - we find ourselves growing in both faith and knowledge in our day-to-day realities.

It takes faith to utter the words ‘When he comes, he will explain everything to us.’  John 4:25b

May my prayer for us all be that today we stop and listen to Jesus in what he desires.

Ministry Summit

We would love you to join us at Summit this year.

The activity of administration is important in the life of a church or support ministry but more importantly is a life lived out in significance in Christ; in community; and in service.

We will be exploring these topics in the admin track so I encourage you to join us.

The Admin track is for everyone, paid or volunteer, who serves in the areas of finance and administration.

Come and enjoy the fellowship of others from churches around the country and spend some time sitting in God’s word, growing in knowledge of what he desires in your day-to-day service.

We're also running tracks in Children and Family Ministries, Church Equipping and Planting, Youth, and Prayer. Do you know someone in your church who might benefit from one of these tracks? Let them know:

Safe Spaces

Over the past three years we have quietly been plugging in information to churches regarding child protection.

This is a really important area of support that leaders and administrators can be involved in but it is an area that does take some consideration and time to support.

Even if you have processes in place, can I encourage you to read this great resource from Child Matters, Creating a Safe Organisation.

This is also up in our Resource Library. Scroll down and click on the Child Protection link.

More information will be coming out this year, so please keep an eye on our newsletters and Facebook group pages.

The Resource Library login has moved!

If you're accessing the login to the Resource Library via our website home page, you'll find the link has moved.

You can now access the Resource Library via the 'What we do' tab at the top. Hover your cursor over the words, or click the downward arrow to access the dropdown menu. See the picture above for more details.
