Locally Manufactured Wall Panels Rising Around the County
In the photo above, wall panels manufactured in Sumter County by DZ Precast Solutions are being installed by T&D Concrete employees. The wall panels are created in DZ’s highly automated precast concrete factory located in Governor Rick Scott Industrial Park. The panels leave the factory with windows and channels for plumbing and electrical connections already installed. On the job site, the panels are lowered into position using a crane, and the new home is assembled.

Manufacturing and Distribution Luncheons to Resume in January
Sumter County Economic Development will resume the industry luncheons in January with other meetings planned for May and October. Lake Sumter State College Sumter Campus has graciously offered to host the meetings. Representatives from manufacturing and distribution businesses in Sumter County, workforce partners, and educational stakeholders are invited to attend. Sumter County Agricultural Alliance Meetings Held Monthly
As a reminder to our agricultural businesses and partners the Sumter County Agricultural Alliance meets on the last Friday of each month in Bushnell at Beef O'Brady's. The meetings are attended by economic development, workforce, educational, and industry representatives. Please contact SCED at 352-689-4400 for more details.

Sumter County Economic Development Website Updated
Sumter County Economic Development released an updated website including new industry photos and an "Our Employers" page to showcase local companies. A special thank you to the Duke Energy Economic Development Foundation for awarding a grant of $10,000 that helped support the project.
