Message from your President

Kevin Hoffman, WAAE President, Retired Agriculture & Natural Resources Instructor/FFA Advisor, Verona School District
'Tis the Season...
I hope those attending the NAAE Convention had a positive experience including traveling and the convention as a whole. As your year is clicking away, so is our year as a WAAE organization. Thank you to all who submitted PDC workshop proposals and award applications. Our PDC planning meeting will take place Dec 28 in Poynette. I met with Nicole Dec. 16th at Appleton so she could see the facilities and make personal contacts with the hotel staff.  In a couple short weeks we will be at Halftime Conference, which also means board meetings and committee meetings.

In the midst of all this busyness, let's not forget that this is a meaningful time. It's a time to reflect on the calendar year and set goals/resolutions for the upcoming calendar year. It's a time to celebrate with family and focus on the joy in our lives. Make time to sit back and look at all the ways the "glass is half-full" - both in the big picture and in the day-to-day aspects of our lives. If you're feeling "stuck," please reach out to your fellow ag teachers, board members and our staff person, Nicole. Even if you've never talked with any of us before, know that we're here to encourage and support you however we can. Happy holidays to you and your loved ones!
