Assistant / Associate Professor of Music Education
The Lee University School of Music invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in the Department of Music Education, starting August 2017. We seek a dynamic teacher with P-12 experience in music education who is committed to mentoring students at graduate and undergraduate levels.

Preference will be given to applicants with a terminal degree in music education who have a minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in P-K music education, with additional experience at the university level preferred. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of current issues in music education, and a broad understanding of music teaching and learning.
Position Expectations:
Teaching assignments may include undergraduate methods courses, graduate courses in music education, and mentoring/supervision of student teachers, based on the candidate's experience and on program needs. Preference will be given to candidates with an instrumental background. The position also includes advising students as assigned, as well as service to the university, the community, and the profession. The successful candidate will be collaborative and student-centered, modeling leadership and responsible ethical action.
