Description of Types of Submissions Sought:
GMEA Research in Music Education and College Division is pleased to announce the call for proposals for spoken research presentations at the 2022 Georgia Music Educators Association In-Service Conference. Research studies using qualitative, quantitative, philosophical or historical methodologies will be considered for this session. Submissions of “Graduate Research” and “Action Research” completed by music educators in their classroom are also encouraged.
Research Topics Sought:
Students (undergraduate and graduate) and faculty are invited to submit abstracts describing completed or in-progress research pertaining to any aspect of music teaching and learning. Researchers whose work is selected are required to (a) register for and attend the GMEA In-Service Conference (researchers from out-of-state will receive complementary registration), (b) give a 30 minute presentation accompanied by visual slides. It is suggested that the presenter talk for 20 minutes and leave 10 minutes for questions and discussion.
