Assistant or Associate Professor of Music Therapy, Tenure-Track
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree (or higher) in Music Therapy. CBMT Board Certification. Evidence of three years of successful professional clinical experience. Evidence of successful teaching at the University level. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Position Expectations:
Teaching responsibilities for this full-time, tenure-track position will include undergraduate courses in Music Therapy and may include general music courses or applied lessons as appropriate. This position will oversee our new Music Therapy curriculum and ensure its compliance with University, National Association of Schools of Music, and American Music Therapy Association standards. The successful candidate will supervise students completing clinical work and internships, advise music majors, and provide general service to the department and University. Candidates with experience teaching applied piano at the University level are preferred.
