Music educators, researchers, performers, composers, teachers, music practitioners, administrators, policy makers and students are cordially invited to join colleagues from around the world in this exciting international conference themed 'Music Education Transcending Borders’.

Music is universally accepted by everyone in the world regardless of ethnicity and geographic locations. Throughout the ages, the functions of music have evolved through acculturations and innovations beyond the usual boundaries. APSMER'17 is promoting music education through various means and settings focussing on our future generations.

Types of Submissions Sought:
Proposals are currently being accepted for research- and practice-based presentations including:

• Spoken papers
• Research posters
• Spoken research posters (5 minutes)
• Workshops / Demonstrations
• Symposia

Submitted proposals will be fully reviewed and selected by members of the APSMER board committee. Selected full papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings.
Topics Sought:
Music education in the 21st century, is expected to be more just a traditional means of educating. Interdisciplinary research opens up endless possibilities beyond the traditional boundaries of traditional music education. APSMER'17 is opening up to such task in providing a platform to encourage interdisciplinary research among music educators and students alike.

Abstracts may be submitted online at:

All submissions and presentations must be in English and must follow the instructions provided in the Call for Papers.
Deadline for Submissions:
Submission deadline is February 28, 2017;
Notifications of acceptance will be made on or before April 5, 2017;
Deadline for full paper submissions is May 30, 2017.
