Full-time Lecturer in Instrumental Music Education
Applicants must have at minimum A.B.D. status in a doctoral program in Music Education, as well as a minimum of 3 years documented successful public school teaching experience and a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching. Preferred qualifications include: a background in research methods; experience in wind conducting; college teaching experience; and receipt of doctorate by date of appointment.
Position Expectations:
Duties will include teaching undergraduate courses in instrumental music education methods and directing the Spartan Marching Band. Other duties, dependent on qualifications and departmental needs, may include teaching additional undergraduate and graduate courses. The teaching load is 3 courses/semester, totaling 6 courses/year.
