Nine-month Tenure Track : Assistant Professor of Music Education (Elementary and General Music Emphasis)
Qualifications:
Ph.D. in music education (ADB will be considered for appointment), and significant experience in K - 12 music education.
Position Expectations:
The position’s responsibilities include teaching Elementary Methods in Music Education, supervising interns and student teachers, and assisting with Voices of Central Arkansas Children’s Choir. Depending on the candidate’s qualifications, additional responsibilities may include teaching Music Education as a Profession, Learning and Development for music education majors, Integration of Music Technology into Teaching and Learning, and various graduate music education courses. The candidate will be expected to pursue an active research agenda including publications, presentations, and conferences.

The faculty is composed of 36 full-time and 9 adjunct members, most of whom have national and international reputations.
