The LMEA Conference Collegiate Summit is a statewide professional development symposium for university music education majors, and beginning and veteran music teachers across Louisiana and provides our pre- and in-service music teachers with opportunities for education, training, and networking with music teachers, professors, and university music education students across Louisiana.

Please accept this invitation for university professors, practicing music teachers, graduate students/practitioners to submit session proposals for the 2016 LMEA Conference Collegiate Summit. Proposals for relevant sessions submitted by graduating seniors (i.e., undergraduates) endorsed and supported by their university professor(s) will also be considered. Summit Sessions are 50 minutes in length with 5 minutes for question and answers.
Types of Submissions Sought:
Lecture Presentation, Interactive Demonstration, Experiential Demonstration, Panel Discussion
Topics Sought:
Band, Chorus, Orchestra, and General Music Pedagogy, Instructional Methodology, First Year(s) as a Music Teacher, Job Search, Interview Strategies, Non-traditional Instruction Methodology, Technology in the Music Classroom, Effective Strategies in the Music Classroom, the Performance-Based Music Classroom, the Non-Performance Music Classroom, and more...
