Thread STL Annual Member Survey


 
The Annual Member Survey:
  • provides Thread STL leadership with vital feedback to better inform future strategy and programming
  •  helps us maintain a snapshot of the partnership and coalition work happening in our region
  • helps us to understand how to better meet your needs as coalition and community partnership leaders, staff and volunteers
  • lets us know if you are still interested in being involved with Thread STL in 2019

East Side Aligned

(NEW!)  Community Forum: Working Together for Youth

 Join us to learn how we can build a stronger community for our kids! Attendees will hear from young people about the change they’d like to see and how they plan to create it, get reacquainted with East Side Aligned, commit to working better together for kids, and learn how to get involved.
Workshops will focus on the community's efforts to:

  • Address trauma
  • Expand early childhood development programming
  • Improve after-school and summer opportunities for youth
  • Increase access to healthy food

 

Where:  Jackie Joyner-Kersee Center
When: Saturday, 11/17 | 1:00 - 4:00p
Cost: Free


Vision for Children at Risk (VCR)

(NEW!) STLCANN Mindfulness and Self Care for Professionals Workshop

Join the St. Louis Child Abuse & Neglect Network for our December 14 training program, to hear from speakers Angela Martin, Clara Stevenson and Abigail Green about “Mindfulness and Self Care for Professionals.”

📚 Peer Resource Sharing 📚

Ready by 21 in partnership with UMSL's Community Innovation and Action Center (CIAC) has developed a guide to "better understand the current local landscape of coalition youth engagement in practice and of the resources required to do so effectively". While this tool was designed with youth-focused work, it can be utilized by other groups to assess and understand their own coalition's efforts! Please follow this link to find the resource.

SLACO Presents an afternoon program bridging the gap between the Communities (Town) and the Universities (Gown) within them:

Session 1: Keynote Address: Dan Pitera, Detroit Collaborative Design Center
Session 2: What’s Working in St. Louis Community/University Partnerships—a Panel Discussion:

  1. Saint Louis University Legal Clinic and SLACO Vacancy Partnership

(NEW!) St. Louis' 1st Annual Women in Data Science Conference

This one-day technical conference will showcase data science related research and industry application by female data scientists from the St. Louis area and the surrounding Midwestern states. Participants of all genders are welcome to attend, network and learn from outstanding local talent. Whether you are a data scientist, data enthusiast, student or somewhere in between, this conference is for you.

(NEW!) Equitable Development Through Community Benefits Agreements

Join Equitable St. Louis for a presentation and discussion about how to drive racially equitable development through Community Benefits Agreements that are community-based, legally binding, and enforceable by the community.

Featuring guest speaker Brandi Fisher, an organizer with the One Hill CBA in Pittsburgh, PA. The One Hill Coalition secured a CBA to accompany a new Pittsburgh Penguins sports arena, along with an anticipated hotel and other adjacent redevelopment projects.

(NEW!) 26th Annual Coordinated School Health Conference

The goal of the conference is to present the most up-to-date information about effective Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child (WSCC) programs. The purpose of the presentations are to foster and support learning, dialog and collaboration that will improve the performance of practicing professionals working to impact the health, safety and well-being of children. Keynote Speakers include Nicole Browning, Clinical Director at NCADA, E. Lee Washington, MD and Nathan Ross.
