Building Confidence in COVID-19 Vaccines

Roadmap to Homes Vaccine Ambassadors are individuals with lived experience with homelessness who have received the COVID-19 vaccine. In this role they'll meet with participants across the emergency housing system to share why they chose to get vaccinated, information about their vaccination experience, and general vaccine information. Get more details.

Training for Homeless Service Providers

Housing First Harm Reduction
You have heard of harm reduction, but what does it mean? Offered online via the iSpring Learning Management System (LMS), this course looks at strategies currently being used to engage people who are the most chronically homeless. The more we know, the better we can help people. Take the Housing First Harm Reduction Quiz. 

PhilaHMIS Trainings
Standard housing, provider, and non-funded provider trainings are offered online via the iSpring LMS. Complete online.

CEA-BHRS (“Sea breeze”)
E-learning trainings for providers that utilize Philadelphia’s coordinated entry system to help ensure that the highest-need, most vulnerable households are prioritized for assistance. Complete online.

HMIS Privacy and Security Standards
E-learning training for providers with systems or environments that store clients' personal information. Training will assist in better securing details that are collected daily. This training must be completed once per year for all PhilaHMIS users. Complete online.

Essentials in Providing Services Series | Mar. 16 - Apr. 13
This five-part series trains supportive housing providers on the essential skills they need to help tenants thrive in supportive housing. Learn about and apply key concepts including housing first, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and assertive engagement. Sign up.

Youth Focus Group Session | Apr. 1 & 8
Share feedback on your experience as a teen or young adult navigating Philadelphia’s Continuum of Care. The Office of Homeless Services will use information gathered to complete an annual evaluation of the system and help determine how to better serve youth. Learn how you can participate.
Audience: Youth ages 18 – 24 who have or are currently experiencing homelessness

Vaccine Champion Training | Apr. 5 | 1 p.m.
Be a community leader and share information about the COVID-19 vaccine with friends and neighbors as a trusted messenger. Get more details.

Helping Philadelphians Access Stimulus Payments and Child Tax Credits | Apr. 6 | 2 p.m.
Learn how to help low-income individuals and families get connected to the tax system so that they can receive their stimulus payments. Register.

Audience: Service providers and advocates

ELECT Conference | Apr. 7 -9
Gain insight on trends and issues facing pregnant and parenting teens, review best practices, and obtain resources and strategies that can be incorporated at your program level to promote successful outcomes. Register.
