Bountiful Peace Presentations

Dear Friends,

Blessed with rich river soils and a perfect microclimate, the Peace Valley is a fertile food oasis in the middle of the chilly North. You are invited to learn more about what British Columbia stands to lose if Site C dam proceeds and floods out some of our best quality farmland.  Presentations will be held in Richmond on December 1st and Chilliwack on December 2nd, 2015.

Join third-generation farmers Arlene and Ken Boon and learn how the Peace farmers are challenging a mammoth hydro project that threatens to wash away their farms, their livelihoods, and the land that can feed 1 million people.

Speakers: Ken and Arlene Boon, third-generation Peace valley farmers, Harold Steves, Richmond councillor, and Richard Bullock, former chair of the Agricultural Land Commission.

Richmond event:

When:  Tuesday, Dec 1st, 7:00 p.m.
Where: Steveston Community Centre, 4111 Moncton Street, Richmond, BC

Chilliwack event:

When:  Wednesday, Dec 2nd, 7:00 p.m.
Where:  Yarrow Community School, 4595 Wilson Rd

Please be sure to invite your friends and neighbors. Ana - who is going to be there to moderate - looks forward to seeing you there!

For the Peace,
