Time to register for summer camps

Cobb PARKS offers a variety of summer camps in arts, recreation programs, tennis, nature camps, golf and gymnastics. Registration is in progress for most summer camp programs.

For our summer camps at our Recreation Centers, registration begins Monday, April 12 at noon. Hyde Nature Camp registration begins April 5 at 8am. For golf and tennis camps, registration is in progress at most facilities.

This year, camps will limit numbers due to COVID-19 protocols. Many camps fill up quickly, so don't be left out this summer. Online registration is available for many camp programs. Visit our online registration site to set up an account if you don't already have one.

Cobb PARKS opens a new Escape Room location in west Cobb

Between Green Meadows and Oregon Park, PARKS is opening a new escape room in front of its disc golf course. Registration is now open for its first of three themed rooms this year, The Emporium.

Your cousin, the owner of the local Emporium, has gone missing. Family matters, so you step in to take his place. Belly up to the bar to play discreet detective while trying your hand as the town’s newest soda jerk. Think you’ve got what it takes to create the latest hotsy-totsy concoctions and serve up whodunit? Step into this old-fashioned pharmacy to find out.
One team
One hour
One chance to mix it right…

The Emporium Escape Room runs May 21 - July 31. Look on our social media pages starting April 1 for a chance to win one of 4 Golden Tickets. Each Golden Ticket holder will receive an escape room game for up to six people. Be the first to get it right at The Emporium. Click HERE for details on The Emporium Escape Room.

Participant spotlight: Antonio Guzman

Antonio Guzman is one of Cobb's Special Olympics athletes. He is 22 years old and is from Powder Springs. He has been with Special Olympics GA-Cobb since 2012. He says that during these years "Special Olympics has taught me many things that has served me well in life. Special Olympics has taught me that to be successful in anything, I must have the desire to do well and that I must put in the work to learn the skills needed to succeed.  Special Olympics has also taught me about being a team player and having good sportsmanship, like not gloating when my team wins and congratulating the winning team when we lose."

"Thanks to Special Olympics, I have had the opportunity to participate in basketball, softball, soccer, and Atlanta United's Unified Soccer, where I got to travel to Chicago to represent the team. Special Olympics has given me the confidence to be a leader and has empowered me to use my voice and presence to connect with people.  Therefore, with the gentle, caring guidance of the selfless, dedicated coaches and volunteers, I promise you that I will continue to strive for gold in everything I do in life! Thank you, Special Olympics because, what you do truly matters and touches more people than you can ever imagine!"

Thank you to Antonio for representing Special Olympics GA-Cobb with your athletic skills with class and grace!
