  Georgia Urban Mushing will host their annual dog race. Urban mushing is an umbrella term for sports where your dog helps pull you forward. Generally, this is done with just one dog. Urban mushing might be done on foot, on a bike, on a scooter, or in a cart.

  Hyde Farm Walking Tour

  Enjoy a leisurely walking tour as you venture back in time and explore the property that has been farmed since 1840. The 135 acres that make up the original Hyde Farm consist of numerous cultural resources. Natural features include the Chattahoochee River and forests that are found in both the lowlands adjacent to the river and the uplands near the home site. Man-made features include terraced agricultural fields, lowland pastures/old fields, the orchard, the home site, the meadows and the farm outbuilding sites. Enjoy the pond which is stocked with catfish and bass that was built on Mulberry Creek in the 1980s. And you may see geese, ducks, herons, turtles, and even beavers.
  
  The 45-minute tour starts 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the second Saturday of each month. Meet near the red gate at the end of the parking lot. Please call 770-528-8840 if you have any questions.

  Champions in Motion combines Pom dance and Cheerleading into one program. Students are taught cheerleading techniques such as short chants, arm motions, jumps, kicks, and stunting techniques. Students are also taught a special long team performance cheer and cheer dance routine (with use of poms) each course that is presented by each team at the Cheer Showcase. We have incorporated the most modern and current dance techniques into our curriculum, and developed teaching methods that work best for children and teens. Cheerleading is a team-oriented sport and we encourage students to demonstrate teamwork, sportsmanship and dedication to being part of the team while participating in our program.

  Join Silica Burns for this specialty workshop where you can create a handblown stemless wine glass for yourself! Students will learn the fundamentals of glassblowing, and have hands on experience as you pull and form your glass. Students will take turns as they use the furnace and equipment. This workshop is open to all levels and all ages 6+ to Adults are welcome, no experience is needed. For examples of glassblowing visit Silica Burns Glass Facebook page. For safety: children 6-14 years old require an adult to supervise them and must be able to follow directions. If adult supervising children wishes to make glasses as well, they must also register. All students should wear closed toe shoes and bring a pair of safety glasses.

  2023 Get Golf Ready –Beginner Golf Class
  This class is designed for Beginner Ladies and Men.  It is intended for the person who has some or very little golf background. It is a four-week program held for 1.5 hours each week. In these 4 weeks we will walk you through the basics. Topics will include grip, posture, alignment, iron play, woods, chipping, putting, sand, etiquette, basic rules.
