SHORT SURVEY - WE NEED YOUR HELP!

For the future of the IET

At mid-mandate after five years of existence, the Institut de l’énergie Trottier (IET) at Polytechnique Montréal is embarking on a new cycle.

What role should play the IET for the next five years? What orientations should be prioritized? What are the areas for improvement?

You are invited to complete the 4-minute questionnaire because you have collaborated, directly or indirectly, with the IET.

This survey is part of the Institut’s 2020-2025 strategic planning, and your opinion will allow us to better orient its actions.

Thank you!

OPEN LETTER

Experts from Le Climat, l'État et nous initiative, supported by the IET, published an op-ed in the May 1, 2020 edition of the daily newspaper Le Devoir.

This open letter argues that Quebec should rely on social, economic and technical innovation in post-COVID economic stimulus to help limit climate crisis impacts. It presents a series of guiding principles to be followed to succeed.

Long-term Plan Proposal : Energy Modelling Centre

Following a mandate from Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), the IET has structured and executed the Energy Modeling Initiative (EMI).

This mandate culminated with the publication of a long-term proposal to establish an Energy Modeling Centre.

This proposal is built on a year of network facilitation, surveys, and meetings within the Canadian modelling community and a broad range of stakeholders.
